Check with your school's guidance department and/or website to gain access to several local and national scholarships. It is best to check on a regular basis. Be sure to check for the deadline dates.  

Lisa Kaminski Memorial Scholarship 

For high school seniors in the Greater Cincinnati area who plan to attend college and major in a STEM related field. Community service is also a large consideration. 

Amount: $2500

Ohio Association of Public School Employees Memorial Scholarship 

Any graduating high school senior whose parent/ legal guardian is a member in good standing of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees, AFSCME Local 4 is eligible to apply. 

Amount: $2500

Beta Zeta Zeta Scholarship 

All graduating, college bound African American women planning to pursue a bachelor's degree are eligible to apply. 

Amount: $1000

Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Scholarships 

For volunteers or participants at the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields (in Fairfield). 

Amount: $250 - $1000

The ESA Foundation 

There are a number of scholarships available to Ohio residents through the ESA Foundation. 

Amount: Varies by scholarship

English Language Learning Foundation, Inc. Scholarship 

For senior students who English is a second language and plan to attend an accredited local university in Fall of 2020 and is a current resident of Greater Cincinnati. Students need a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and completed 10 hours of community service during 2019 with a local non-profit. 

Amount: $500 - $2000

Ohio State Alumni Association of Greater Cincinnati 

For any high school senior from Hamilton County who has applied to Ohio State

Ohio JCI Senate Scholarship 

For high school seniors who are US citizens that plan to attend an accredited college in 2020. 

Due Date: January 24, 2020 

Amount: $1000 

YWCA Mamie Earl Sells Scholarship 

For female, African American senior high school student with a 3.0 or higher GPA, rank in the top 33% of her class and demonstrate ability to overcome adversity. 

Amount: up to $3000

MENSA Foundation 

For a high school senior who writes a 550 word essay expressing the applicant's academic and professional goals and how their personal will help them to accomplish those goals 

Amount: $2500

2019 - 2020 George S. & Stella M. Knight Essay Contest 

This scholarship is open to grades 9 - 12. There are three levels of participation (local, state and national). Students are asked to write an original essay that researches an event, person, philosophy or ideal associated with the American Revolution. 

Amount: $500 at the local level, up to $800 at the state level, up to $5000 at the national level 

Anthony Munoz Scholarship for students applying to Northern Kentucky University 

For students who apply to NKU and meet NKU admissions requirements with a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5 or higher 

Amount: $20,000 

JFK Profile in Courage Essay Contest 

This essay contest is open to all high school students, grades 9 - 12. Write an original and creative essay that describes an act of political courage by a US elected official who served during or after 1917. The essay may focus on an issue at the local, state, national or international level. 

Amount: up to $10,000

National Co-Op Scholarship Program 

For high school seniors who plan to participate in cooperative education at the college level in partnership with the University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo, Clarkson University, Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University, Merrimack College, Rochester Institute of Technology, State University of New York Oswego, and Wentworth Institute of Technology. 

Amount: up to $7000

Greater Cincinnati Women's Golf Association Scholarship 

For female seniors residing in the Greater Cincinnati area with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and is involved in the sport of golf. 

Amount: $1000 - $1500

Robert A Cunningham Memorial Scholarship 

Must be a college-bound high school senior who is a member of the General Electric Credit Union. Must also have a strong spirit of volunteerism and have an academic record of a 'B' average 

Amount: $2000
