Mission
To give young people exposure to college and career early and often. We believe it is never too early to start the conversation about their future. No Excuses College Tours and Programs believes there is no excuse for an individual not to pursue a college or vocational education.
Betty Tuggle To The Southwest 2025
In March 2025, students embarked on the “Betty Tuggle to the Southwest” tour, visiting nine historic HBCUs across the southern U.S. The week-long journey included campus tours, college meet-and-greets, museum visits, and cultural experiences—empowering students with firsthand exposure to higher education opportunities.
Brenda Madison To East College Tour 2024
In March 2024, students participated in the “Brenda Madison to the East” College Tour, visiting top HBCUs and prestigious institutions across the East Coast and Southeast. The tour included stops at Howard, Hampton, Spelman, Morehouse, Duke, and several North Carolina universities—offering students a powerful week of exploration, inspiration, and college readiness.
Betty Tuggle Southern Swing 2023
In March 2023, No Excuses College Tours hosted the “Betty Tuggle Southern Swing,” a 7-day journey through the South visiting top HBCUs including Florida A&M, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Fisk, LeMoyne-Owen, and Tennessee State. Students experienced campus life, met with admissions staff, and participated in cultural activities, gaining valuable insight into higher education opportunities.

The 7-day experience offered campus tours, college admissions meetings, and cultural exposure—empowering students to envision their future in higher education.
Dive Right

Teen Talks
At the heart of our mission are three pillars: Self-Discovery, Self-Care, and Conflict Resolution. Through impactful partnerships with organizations like the Victims of a Crime Advocacy Program, the Explorer Program, Organized Chaos, and Catalyst, we create safe spaces for youth to grow, heal, and thrive. Our Teen Talks sessions—held twice monthly for both young ladies and young men—foster open dialogue, peer connection, and mentorship with trusted adults. Together, we’re building a community where every young person feels seen, heard, and supported.
